How was your val's day? Mine was wonderful
Sincerely today's val was fun(You 've started getting ideas in your head). Ok guess... Where did I go to? 1, 2, 3.... Have you exhausted your guess? Read on to find out
I had my val outing at a sendforth organised for batch A corp members at BJSS Koroama town in Gbarain area, Yenagoa Bayelsa state.
The programme was fun actually and it started with the normal opening formalties. Thereafter the principal gave her welcome address where she encouraged the students to comport themselves and she welcomed all present.
The students press was actually impressive as they have state and local news. The news featured sport,local gist, gubernatorial election. . .
The students sang a song for the corp members. It sounded more like a dirge- they were actually crying. They were saying in the song that though the corpers are going they should not forget them.
At the debate time, the students could not do it because they were overwhelmed by grief of their uncles(corp members) going.
The corp members that actually served were recommended and applauded. Stand out from the crowd. Comments were made by both corp members and the Principal. One topic that striked me about the principal's comment was "The voice of the people- what are the things people say about you". She buttressed this that why we are failing as a country is because we fail to heed what people say about us. Don't you think so? So as you are going to the next level, let people bless you with the words of their mouth.
The voice of the people is the voice of God.
