Image
Exactly one year today that I won.To the Glory of God, I won state honorary awards for best serving corps members and its really amazing. I got a call late Tuesday evening that I should prepare myself for the Dinner programme that is organised by the state for passing out corps members. So on the D-day, June 13th 2012, I went to the Gloryland cultural center where the dinner was taking place. After the cultural display, talks, the arrival of the Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Prof. Edmund Allison Oguru, and other commissioners, the award and price giving started. The awards were called in reverse order. They started from Local Government Chairman Award - the Yenagoa City council Mayor gave this State Honorary award- presented by Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Prof. Edmund Allison Oguru. What to take to Orientation camp.

Dear prospective corps member, as you are going for service, you need to take the following as you will need them for your camp activities: A pair of white of sneakers A waist bag Two T-Shirts Two pairs of shorts Mosquito Nets   A bucket for bathing Towel Soap and Soap dish Food and beverage flask     Jacket for those posted in cold regions   Cash for expenses Torch light Spoon ( NO FORK or KNIFE pls)   Some of these items would be provided at the camps by NYSC, yet its wise to have your personal belongings as against inconveniences. Feel free to add more things to these as far as your convenience demands. Its good when you have these things already, so that your cash will last on camp.  I will upload the pictures of these mentioned items and more. I wish you a wonderful and hitch free service year.
